Photoacoustic signal generated by 7600 artificial cells in a ramdom hexagonal configuration.

Welcome to the Biophotoacustic Laboratory Homepage. This laboratory belongs to the Statistical Mechanics Group. It occupies an area of 18 m², in Building D of the Division of Science and Engineering-Campus Leon, we have the following equipment:

• Nd:YAG Laser, Brillant, Quantel.
• 2 Watts Ar⁺ Laser.

With this equipment we build three Photoacoustic (PA) experimental setups. One of them is a PA imaging

         In this lab, 9 students are conducting the experimental part of their thesis, which are related to folowing research projects:

• Photoacoustic Imaging (Photoacoustic Inverse Problem).
• Photoacoustic Detection of Circulating Cancer Cells.
• Photoacoustic Detection of Laser Ablation Process
